Sustainability

Sustainability is a theme that touches all the units and service areas that comprise Facilities Management and Planning (FMP) and includes a focus on waste diversion, reduction in Greenhouse Gas Emissions, and efficient use of resources as defined by energy use intensity and water usage.

CU Denver partners with the Auraria Sustainable Campus Program to set goals in all these areas through the campus’ Climate Action Plan, to track and report progress on the goals, and offer programming to educate the campus about climate change and empower them to make changes in their own lives and advocate for change on a broader scale.

FMP also manages the annual President’s Sustainable Solutions Challenge for the Denver Campus.

FMP is in the process of hiring a Sustainability Coordinator. More content is anticipated once the position has been filled, so please visit the site again in the near future to see updates on our sustainability efforts.
