The CU Denver Signage Standards dictate that all campus signs—interior, exterior, permanent, or temporary—maintain visual clarity and effectiveness, adhere to institutional branding, and contribute to a broader framework for planning and communicating building information.
If you are interested in requesting signage within one of the CU Denver-owned buildings listed below (or North Classroom*) then you've come to the right place. All other buildings on the Auraria campus have their own signage request process. To request signage within an AHEC-owned building, please visit AHEC Project Services.

Below are descriptions of the signs most requested by university departments. If you need a sign not identified below, please describe what you need within the Signage Request Form.
Interior signs are defined as all signs that are located inside buildings including on or within offices, workstations, department suites, corridors and lobbies.
Download the CU Denver-branded template and follow the instructions within the file.
Once the template is customized, print, cut, and insert into appropriate sign frame.
Exterior signs are defined as signs that are located outside of buildings regardless of function.
If you are interested in requesting a sign on the building exterior, please describe your idea in the Signage Request Form. All exterior sign requests will need to adhere to the CU Denver Signage Standards, be approved by the CU Denver Signage Committee, and may require additional approval by the University of Colorado Design Review Board.
Below is an outline of the signage request process for a majority of sign types requested.
