Facilities Management and Planning is comprised of five functional areas, which together represent the entire life cycle of facilities from vision to design and construction and transitioning to day-to-day facilities management. They also represent the concept of stewardship through responsible resource consumption and asset and space management. The main functional areas that comprise Facilities Management and Planning are described below.
Our can-do Facilities Management team supports the day-to-day operational needs of the campus by ensuring that buildings are functioning and by providing a number of critical services, including parking, access control, facilities work orders, waste management and disposal, and accessibility.
Ideas come to life in Design & Construction, where our knowledgeable team delivers the projects that help our campus adapt and grow while upholding quality and design standards.
The work of Space Management embodies our institutional commitment to use our campus space efficiently while adapting to shifting work patterns and resource constraints
Campus Planning is where ideas are formed and begin to take shape, whether it be individual projects or broader campus development concepts.
The Sustainability team ensures that we are focused on meeting our climate commitments through energy, water and emissions reductions, and by improving our waste stream diversion.
