Campus Closed December 23, 2024 - January 1, 2025
Note that the University of Colorado Denver and Anschutz Medical campuses are closed from Monday, December 23, 2024, to Wednesday, January 1, 2025. You may submit requests and send emails to ISSS during this time and ISSS staff will respond after January 1, 2025.
Options After Graduation
If you are a recent graduate of the University of Colorado Denver, you have a certain number of options:
F-1 Students
After Graduation, you have a 60-day-grace-period to:
- Apply for OPT
- Transfer to a New School
- Gain Acceptance to start a new program at CU Denver starting within 5 months of graduation.
- Leave the U.S.
J-1 Students
After graduation, a J-1 student may have additional time on their DS-2019 that would allow them to be eligible for Academic Training (AT). Please see our page about Academic Training (AT) for more information.
On the Expiry date of the DS-2019, a student has 30 days to vacate the U.S.
