Immigration Status
Must be maintaining immigration status as an F-1 student at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus, and be engaged in a full-course of study as defined by their academic program and SEVP guidance on a full-course of study.
Academic Requirements
Students must be maintaining a full-course of study as defined by their academic program, and SEVP guidance on course of study. [8 CFR 214.2(10)] Additionally students must be considered in good academic standing as defined by their school or college.
Hours Per Week
CPT can be approved for part-time (20 hours or less) per week, or full-time (21 hours or more) per week.
Duration
Duration depends on the specific period granted on page 2 of your I-20. At CU Denver, authorization is granted on a semester by semester basis. If the student accrues 12 months or more of full-time CPT, the student will be ineligible for post-completion
Optional Practical Training (OPT), but may continue with the full-time CPT until graduation.
