Academic Transformation Working Groups

CU Denver Provost greeting faculty

CU Denver’s multiyear Academic Transformation initiative is a review and reconsideration of several aspects of our academic operations. It was conceived in response to changes in technology, education, and culture, in and beyond our university. By rethinking long-standing premises of our teaching and learning environment, we can better educate students and prepare them for careers. We also will better align with CU Denver priorities including making education work for all and becoming a best place to work.

Provost Constancio Nakuma in Fall 2023 announced the formation of four working groups that met throughout 2023-24 to explore these issues. In Fall 2024, progress reports and preliminary recommendations were circulated for constituent input and discussed at meetings including a November community-wide Academic Transformation: Community Conversations event. More project information is available on individual pages for each working group.
