The Experiential Learning Center (ELC) is designed to help students develop knowledge, skills, and career readiness competencies from direct experiences outside of the classroom. We are here to help students pursue their educational goals by providing internships and professional development opportunities. The ELC is eager to assist students, academic departments, and employers in reaching their experiential learning goals.
The Internship Workshop is a great first step in the internship process for students and is recommended to complete at least one semester before they plan to intern. Students only need to complete the Internship Workshop one time. It introduces the internship process, intern rights and responsibilities, and how to use Handshake. Attending the Internship Workshop will give students access to apply for internships in Handshake.
Internship advising appointments is a great first step for an individualized experience and is highly recommended before applying to internships. Internship Advisors can help you with industry option exploration, resume and cover letter review, interview preparation, understanding the academic or not-for-credit internship programs, and more. Meeting with an Internship Advisor will give students access to apply for internships in Handshake.
