Elly joined the Wellness & Recreation Services department in September of 2024. She is a graduate student in the Couples and Family Therapy Master's Program and manages Milo's Market, CU Denver's free grocery store. Prior to working and studying at CU Denver, she worked as a case manager with Family Tree's domestic Violence shelter, as a manager of Treasure Trunk, Family Tree's non-profit thrift store. In addition to working at Milo's Market and working towards her Master's, she is a barista at The Secret Garden. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yin yoga, thrifting, ecstatic dance, cooking for her friends and family, practicing latte art, and will talk your ear off about astrology, oracle cards, and anything else spirituality related! 

Elly has her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Bachelor of Arts in Peace & Justice from Regis University.

She received her Master’s in Secondary Education from the University of New Mexico. 

Incorporating Wellness

I strive to live my life like self-care is a requirement, not an option. Tending to my physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being on a daily basis is a huge priority! I also recognize self-care is necessary to be able to participate in collective wellness. Working towards the liberation and wellbeing of all people is extremely important to me. 

How I can help

I am a resource for all things food and basic needs! I love to chat to students about their experiences with Milo's Market and strive to learn how we better serve our community. I'm in my office (right across from Milo's Market) Mondays 9am-5pm, and Tuesdays and Wednesday 9am-3pm. Aside form managing Milo's Market, I can help students find more food resources on and off campus! I can also provide tarot readings, if you ever need one!
