The Division for Teaching Innovation & Program Strategy (TIPS) welcomes you to the University of Colorado Denver. In this guide, you will find information to help you get started with the various university technologies available to you.

Getting Connected

In order to get connected to your university accounts, you will need to know your university username. You should receive that information from your HR representative. For assistance with getting connected, you can contact the OIT Service Desk

Teaching Technologies

CU Denver's Learning Management System (LMS) is Canvas. Whether your course is in-person, hybrid, or online you will have access to a Canvas course shell for that course. At a minimum, instructors are encouraged to use Canvas to post their syllabus, share course files, and record grades. However, you can also use Canvas for asynchronous discussions, assignment submission and feedback, and much more! There is also a ton of other tools integrated into Canvas to make your teaching easier. Check out all the academic technology tool guides
