Student Technology Guide
The Division for Teaching Innovation & Program Strategy (TIPS) welcomes you to the University of Colorado Denver. In this guide, you will find information to help you get started with the various university technologies available to you.
Getting Connected
In order to get connected to your university accounts, you will need to know your university username. You should receive that information from your HR representative. For assistance with getting connected, you can contact the OIT Service Desk.
Student Technologies
Students have access to numerous technology tools specifically for learning many are available from within Canvas.

Canvas
CU Denver's Learning Management System (LMS) is Canvas. Whether your course is in-person, hybrid, or online you will have access to a Canvas course shell for that course. In Canvas you can see course announcements, send your instructor messages, take quizzes, and access course content and materials. Every instructor uses Canvas differently so be sure to check in with your instructor to learn how to best use Canvas in their specific course. You can access the Lucid Suite, Panopto, and Zoom from within Canvas.

You can access 24/7 Canvas Support (Chat, Email, and Phone) via the 'Help' button located in the left-hand navigation menu from within Canvas.
