Tenure-Track Faculty Professional Development Fund

The CFDA's Tenure-Track Faculty Professional Development Fund (formerly known as "YUMPS") provides support to tenure-track assistant professors at the University of Colorado Denver (Denver Campus) as they advance toward tenure. Funded activities can include: attending professional conferences or a professional development training/workshop, hiring a research assistant, or purchasing books, software, or specialized equipment. 

  • Funding Limit: $1000/year
  • Eligibility: Tenure-track faculty
  • Matching: Applicants must secure and document confirmation of matching funds from their school/department. Early Career Professional Development Grant Chair/Dean/Associate Dean Approval Form (upload a completed copy with your application, via the form embedded below)
  • Faculty are eligible to receive one Tenure-Track Faculty Professional Development Fund award per year.

Academic Year 2024-2025 Deadlines: 

Fall Deadline: September 30, 2024, 5:00pm
Spring Deadline: February 3, 2025, 5:00pm

Notes:

  • Funds must be expended within the fiscal year in which you have been awarded as no funds will rollover. The means you must spend the grant funds by May 1st of the fiscal year.
  • The University's fiscal year begins July 1 and coincides with the academic year (meaning July 1st is the beginning of the fiscal year).
