Election Resources for Students, Faculty, Staff, Journalists, and the Community

Voter Resources

voter friendly campus 2023-2024

As one of the most engaged and diverse group of college students in the country, CU Denver Student Life Voter Resources helps students navigate local, state, federal, and national elections through informative events, resource sharing, and promotion of voter-friendly practices.

Elections are decided by the people who go out and vote. Make sure you are registered to vote and know the important dates and deadlines for the state where you are registered to vote. Take some time and learn about the measures and the candidates.

Regularly check the calendar below for the latest events and voter deadlines.

Voter Registration

The most reliable place for voter registration information is from the Secretary of State office for the state where you want to vote. Learn about Colorado requirements, dates and deadlines, election security, and how to register to vote.

Where to Vote

Students, staff, faculty, and community members can drop their ballots off at the permanent ballot box located outside the Tivoli Student Union (near the Starbucks patio) or vote in the polling station in the Multicultural Lounge on the second floor of the Tivoli (located across from the Tivoli Starbucks entrance).

Out-of-State Voters

If you are registered to vote in another state, you can request your absentee ballot from your home state, or you may be able to register to vote in Colorado. Deadlines may apply for out of state voter registration. Visit vote.gov to learn more.

If you are a WUE/WRGP student, make sure you understand your residency-based tuition benefits. Before registering to vote in Colorado, seek sound advice from your home state office. You are encouraged to plan ahead and register to vote by absentee mail ballot in your home state. Learn more about voting as a WUE/WRGP student from the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education.
