Scholarship Honors Advocate Sara Caile
Oct 14, 2024To honor the memory of Sara Shreve Caile, a longtime advocate and supporter of the Center for Inclusive Design and Engineering (CIDE), faculty and staff at CIDE selected a family in need of life-changing technology support. They chose Steven Kietzer, a young man who receives services at the CIDE Assistive Technology Clinic. Thanks to this scholarship, Steven was able to access the assistive technology services that will enhance his independence and improve his quality of life.
The Caile family has been deeply involved with CIDE since 2002. Sara’s husband, Bill Caile, served as chair of the CIDE advisory council and co-founded the Deja Vu Rendezvous, an annual event that raises crucial funds for CIDE’s mission to empower individuals with disabilities.
The impact of this scholarship is deeply felt by Steven and his family. It serves as a lasting tribute to Sara's legacy of compassion and support for others.
