CU Denver received a $110,000 grant from Constellation Philanthropy to expand the School of Education and Human Development’s ASPIRE to TEACH alternative teacher licensure program. This grant will go toward the development of the ASPIRE to TEACH in Colorado Community-Based Early Childhood Education in order to meet the urgent workforce needs of Colorado community-based early childhood education centers by providing teachers with resources, coaching, and professional development. 

Over six years, ASPIRE to TEACH has licensed more than 1,000 teachers across 49 counties in Colorado through responsive partnerships with program participants, schools, districts, charter networks, and educational organizations.
