Admissions Requirements

Admissions process for students outside of the U.S.

Step 1

Gain admission into ICB through China Agricultural University (CAU). Please refer to CAU's admissions policies.  You will take your first-year courses, taught in English, at CAU.

Step 2

At some point during your first year, you will apply to CU Denver as a transfer student. You will need to submit the following materials no later than July 15th following completion of your first year of studies:

1. International student application for admission (online)
2. Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL score of 71 or higher; IELTS score of 6.0 or higher). 
   1. To send us your TOEFL score, visit www.ets.org and choose school code 4875.
   2. To send us your IELTS score, visit www.ielts.org and select the University of Colorado Denver.
3. Official CAU transcript with first-year courses (minimum cumulative GPA of 2.4). CAU will send this to CU Denver on your behalf.

Provided that you received a grade of C- or higher, CU Denver will transfer your first-year courses. Beginning your second year, all courses taken at ICB will appear on your CU Denver transcript.
