SUPPLEMENTAL LEARNING | SL

Supplemental Learning (SL) provides additional support in the most traditionally challenging courses. SL sessions provide a learning environment where you can study alongside your classmates to deepen understanding of material while receiving guidance from an instructor-approved SL Leader. Each session is focused on reviewing the most challenging concepts from the week’s lecture.

How does Supplemental Learning work?

A trained SL Leader, approved by the course instructor, is assigned to your course to help you develop a deeper understanding of difficult course concepts. That SL Leader attends lectures and works with faculty to prepare materials... breaking down course content.

The leader holds frequent interactive and collaborative study sessions for you to work in small groups with your classmates to better understand course material.

You'll engage in critical thinking to analyze and make connections with difficult concepts.

Your leader will share effective study strategies to help you learn and engage in fun and effective learning activities with your classmates.

Striving for your SUCCESS

SL is an environment where you can make mistakes or be confused and learn from it.

You can compare notes and share study tips with your classmates.

Session mainly focus on the most challenging concepts from the week’s lecture.

Students can attend the sessions in person or through Zoom.
