The CIBERVets program is a signature CU Denver CIBER initiative that facilitates opportunities in international business topics for veteran and military students across the nation. Throughout the year, CIBERVets members have access to various networking and recruiting events, job and internship openings, resume and employment workshops, and professional development opportunities.

A networking and recruiting event where companies can share insights about their work culture, discuss skills needed for success, and connect with students, alumni and veterans eager to work in global minded organizations. This event will focus on connecting companies with an international component to students and alumni from colleges and universities across the United States. You will have the opportunity to meet industry leaders, and HR professionals to expand your connections, engage with local and global companies to explore exciting career opportunities, and gain valuable insights into various career paths and the qualifications needed from market experts.

Darien Stinson |
Darien Stinson proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for five years, rising to the rank of Sergeant. During his time in the Marine Corps, Darien worked as a helicopter mechanic, specializing in the maintenance and repair of the CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter. His service included a six-month deployment to Okinawa, Japan, and participation in various high-intensity training operations, such as supporting the elite Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) course in Yuma, AZ. This rigorous two-month program brought together personnel from across the Marine Corps, equipping pilots and aircrew with advanced tactical skills to enhance their squadrons' readiness and effectiveness.
After separating from the Marine Corps in 2019, Darien pursued higher education, earning a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Colorado Denver. He is now continuing his academic journey in CU Denver’s highly regarded Master of Science in International Business (MSIB) program. With a strong interest in organizational design and change management, Darien is passionate about applying his skills to shape efficient and effective business systems in the corporate world. His military background and academic training, paired with a deep curiosity about global business, drive his career ambitions.
As the CIBERVets Student Coordinator, Darien is dedicated to helping veteran and military-affiliated students thrive in their academic and professional journeys. He is excited to leverage his leadership experience and passion for mentorship to guide others in navigating their career paths with confidence, ensuring that fellow veterans have the support they need to succeed.
Timothy "Chuck" Nicholls |
Chuck Nicholls served in the Air Force for 10 years before separating in January 2021 as a Staff Sergeant and transitioning into the Air National Guard. Mr. Nicholls is currently part of the Tactical Air Control Party career field where he is responsible for the coordination, planning, and control of aircraft and helicopter air support. He served two deployments overseas, one to Afghanistan where he trained and advised the Afghan National Army, and one to Europe, primarily in Poland, where he had the opportunity to work and train with various countries in support of NATO missions.
While in the Air Force, Mr. Nicholls earned his Associate in Applied Science in Information Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. He also graduated from the American Military University with a Bachelor of Arts in Entrepreneurship with a Concentration in Sports Business. Mr. Nicholls is currently pursuing his MS in International Business at CU Denver.
Initially driven by his passion for business, Mr. Nicholls joined CIBERVets to grow as a professional, enhance his leadership and management skills, and gain invaluable business experience. He is now the CIBERVets Student Coordinator and hopes to help more veteran and military students be actively engaged in their careers, both professional and educational. He would like to pursue his dream of becoming an entrepreneur and running his own business.
