Speaker Information: Joe Schroeter
Joe Schroeter defines excellence in international business. His professional accomplishments and global experience working in countries throughout Europe, Eastern Europe and Asia Pacific are extensive. As the former CEO at CQG, he created a profitable strategy to develop a suite of SaaS products to give commodities traders such as the Singapore and London Stock exchanges their competitive edge. The became the industry leader with over 18,000 traders providing high-performance trade routing, global market data, and advanced technical analysis. At Centura Health he first served as corporate counsel, the chief negotiator of a major M&A and later led the company's organization and development leadership program. Currently he heads up his own management consulting firm, Schroeter Consulting in Denver whose focus is on whole organization transformation while synching strategy, capability and culture to help companies change the life experience of their employees and customers. His primary objective is helping global corporate leaders who are challenged by complex changes at the organization, strategic and business model level, working to design and develop technology that is human centered while inspiring and creating improvements in the lives of business leaders, their families and communities. The firm's mission is to improve the ability of organizations to improve our world.

Joe received his B.A. from the University of Nebraska and his J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School.

The International Business Student Network (IBSN) is a student-run organization for CU Denver students in all majors and programs interested in international business. The club sponsors cultural dinners, networking events, international business speakers and on-line social connections through Facebook and MyLynx.The International Business Student Network works hand in hand with UCD’s Business School, the Institute of International Business (IIB), and the international business community to provide global business opportunities for students interested in an international business career.
