Once graduate students enroll, there are a variety of resources available to support academic work and unanticipated needs.
- Scholarships: Even as an enrolled student, we encourage you to always research and apply for scholarships to help offset the cost of your education. Your program, department, school or college may offer scholarships or other grant aid to current students, so please check to see if your faculty and program director/program lead can recommend scholarships in your specific discipline or field.
- Teaching Appointments: Many departments employ graduate students as part-time instructors or teaching assistants. Contact your department for more information.
- Research Assistantships: Graduate students may be able to obtain part-time work as research assistants in many departments. Such funds are from external grants obtained by faculty members. Contact your department for more information.
- Work on Campus: Students may have the opportunity to seek employment on campus. Once admitted and enrolled, you can view available positions and apply on Handshake, CU Denver’s student job board. If you are an international student, visit the International Student and Scholar Services website to learn more about working on campus, as there are restrictions in place based on visa status.
- Financial Wellness and Literacy Appointments: CU Denver’s Wellness & Recreation Services provides resources, guidance, and activities to help students manage their money and build healthy financial habits towards stability. Take advantage of one-on-one financial appointments and financial workshops to create a budget and plan for managing your finances while studying at CU Denver.
- University Payment Plan: The university offers payment plans each term that divide the remaining costs of tuition, fees, and on-campus housing into installments.
