The National Security Agency (NSA) has designated the University of Colorado Denver as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity Defense (CAE-CD).
August 22, 2022:
The new Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity launches in the College of Engineering, Design
and Computing.
August 3, 2022:
The National Security Agency (NSA) has successfully validated the Cybersecurity and Defense Graduate Certificate in the College of Engineering, Design and Computing.
April 15, 2022:
University of Colorado Denver (UCD) cyber students took 1st place in the National Cybersecurity Management Case Competition beating
out other teams from across the country in the qualifying round and then the final round.
March 26, 2022:
The University of Colorado Denver (UCD) Cyber Team - TransAmerica Cyber Adepts, placed 2nd in the 2022 Rocky Mountain Cyber Defense Competition.
A total of eight teams from schools in Colorado, Utah, and Kansas took part in the event where students must defend their network from a red team attack. The competition lasts for 16 hours over 2 days. The team moved on to the wildcard round on April
6th, where they faced other 2nd places finishers from across the country. They did a fantastic job with this year's competitions!
February 26, 2022:
The University of Colorado Denver (UCD) Cyber Team - TransAmerica Cyber Adepts, is one of eight teams to advance from the preliminary round to the regional qualifier of the 2022 Rocky Mountain Cyber Defense Competition.
A total of fourteen teams from schools in Colorado, Utah, Kansas, Nebraska, and Wyoming took part in the event where students must defend their network from a red team attack.
January 11, 2022:
The University of Colorado Denver (UCD) is one of four universities in Colorado to be accepted into the United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) Academic Engagement Network.
The goal of the new partnership is to improve and sustain joint efforts to meet cyberspace educational requirements and workforce needs.
