Creative Work Grand Challenge

The Goal

The ARIAD team aims to cultivate a powerful collaborative network of academic experts, community stakeholders, and local, national, and international industry advisors and partners to address the grand challenge of aging and aging into disability facing our world today. Funding and research support is provided by CU Denver in order to lay the foundation for building CU Denver’s reputation as a leader in research and creative work.

Jodi Waterhouse MHA

Director Multidisciplinary Center on Aging

Jodi is the Director, Outreach of the CU Anschutz Multidisciplinary Center on Aging (MCoA). For over 20 years, in her various roles as a Director in Higher Education, she has led business development and marketing initiatives representing corporate, professional, and educational programs. In her current role, she has applied her experience with program development to build the MCoA as the central portal within the State of Colorado addressing research, clinical care, education, and engagement opportunities with key stakeholders. These stakeholders include the Governor, various Senators, and Representatives, and key offices at the Capital. She is actively involved in, and a board member of, the Colorado Center on Aging, an advocacy and education group representing the voices of older adults. The Governor appointed her to serve on the Colorado Commission on Aging as both Vice-Chair and Higher Education Representative. She co-created Thought Leaders in Aging to bring together top leaders to tackle some of Colorado’s most significant challenges impacting older adults. She serves as a co-lead for CoCare Colorado, a consortium of Colorado Universities that conduct research, clinical care, and education in aging. Through these leadership roles, she activates associated networks to engage academics, leaders, researchers, and government officials across the state to create successful and sustainable education and engagement opportunities that are timely, relevant, and sustainable.
