Kirk Wydner, Assistive Technology Specialist, at the CIDE Assistive Technology Clinic, recently helped a client with a home automation tool. The client is now able to use his voice to activate and control the front door of his apartment. Before this system was installed, he had to wait outside until someone came along to open the door for him. The smile on his face shows how much he appreciates the independence provided to him with this assistive technology!
