Favorite thing about CU Denver?
The Tivoli Student Union. It is a historical, beautiful building full of charm, energy, and mystique. Students frequently find themselves in the Tivoli Student Union, studying, taking advantage of student services, and for our 21 and older students, even enjoying a fully functioning brewery located in the building!
Top tips for incoming students
Build a plan and develop strategies to succeed academically. Work hard to take care of your mind and your body. To reach the peak of your intellectual capabilities, you need to care for yourself holistically- eat the right foods, exercise, care for your mental and emotional wellbeing. If you are struggling, seek out the many services offered by CU Denver. No matter how challenging going to college may be, there is no feeling in the world like walking the stage at graduation and collecting your diploma!
Favorite downtown hobby/attraction/restaurant/venue/etc.?
Larimer Square is a beautiful part of downtown Denver. The street is closed off to traffic and many restaurants have outdoor seating. Larimer Square is where the university meets the community, and you will frequently see CU Denver flags draped proudly over the street alongside Denver and Colorado flags. All you need to do it sit in Larimer Square and you will feel the energy of our university and the Denver community.

Andrew was born and raised in upstate New York in the Binghamton, NY region. After graduating high school, Andrew attended Binghamton University where he became involved in numerous campus organizations and functions, including founding the university's chartered school spirit group, The BU Zoo. After graduating Binghamton, Andrew continued pursuing his passion for higher education and worked in undergraduate and graduate admissions and recruitment settings starting in 2016. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys swimming, reading history books, and doing small landscape projects.
