This project aims to address the limitations of existing anterior fusion surgery instrumentation for treating cervical spine pathology. The proposed plating system improves fixation strength, simplifies surgical technique, and reduces inventory requirements, making it an attractive option for orthopedic/neuro spine surgeons. With extensive development work already completed, the project now focuses on Verification and Validation testing to support a regulatory submission with the FDA. The goal is to obtain a 510(k) clearance, allowing the implant and system to be used clinically and potentially commercialized through a spin-out company or partnership with a strategic partner. Collaborators: Brandon Arthurs, PE and Leighton LaPierre, MSc
