NHL-Avs Watch Party Barricade Plan

Students, faculty, and staff who hold Auraria Campus parking permits can park as they normally do. If your vehicle is registered with the parking office, you will not be subject to event specific parking charges.

For those who do not have a parking permit or pass or have not registered their vehicle, there will be event parking prices ($20 for lots and $25 for the Tivoli Parking Garage). AHEC will not be able to reserve any parking spots.

Metered street parking on Walnut St. adjacent to the Tivoli Quad will be closed during the duration of the series. There will be limited or no metered parking on Larimer St. in front of Student Commons, 12th St., or 11th St. during the watch parties.

Any changes to parking for Friday (June 24), Sunday (June 26), and Tuesday (June 28) will be shared as soon as possible. Watch parties on these days are dependent on the Avalanche advancing in the playoff series.

Yes. The bus line 43 which runs along 11th street and Walnut will be impacted during scheduled event times. More information to come.

No. There will be no reserved parking or seats for CU Denver community members or any of the Auraria Campus partner institutions.

This is an exciting time for the Avalanche, their fans, and the city of Denver, and for Auraria Campus as host of the playoff watch parties. It is anticipated each watch party will draw 5,000-7,000 spectators to the Auraria Campus.

The Auraria Police Department (ACPD) has partnered with neighboring agencies to provide additional law enforcement and armed security support during the scheduled events. The ACPD has also increased staffing to heighten patrols on campus and in institutional neighborhoods.

For the scheduled events, there will be K-9 assistance and all patrons entering the Tivoli Quad will pass through a screening system to detect weapons and other suspicious items.

In the event of an emergency on campus, contact the Auraria Campus Police Department (ACPD) at 303-556-5000. Use 911 from any campus phone to be connected with the ACPD Dispatch. ACPD's Text-a-Tip line is also available at 720-593-TIPS (8477), which also accept photos.

CU Denver faculty, staff and students as well as AHEC staff, vendors and Auraria Early Learning Center parents are automatically enrolled in the emergency notification system.
