Center for Identity and Inclusion
The Center for Identity and Inclusion (CII), based in the downtown campus, supports underrepresented students and promotes a diverse and inclusive campus. The CII’s work consists of the efforts and commitment from the American Indian Student Services (AISS), Asian American Student Services (AASS), Black Student Services (BSS), and Latinx Student Services (LSS). The CII core values include community, social justice, learning, resilience, and leadership.
Central Office for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement
The CU Anschutz Central Office for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement (ODEICE) focuses on implementing, centralizing and improving programs and initiatives around diversity and health equity; inclusion and outreach; and community engagement.
CU Anschutz LGBTQ+ Hub
The LGBTQ+ Hub strives to create and maintain an inclusive campus environment for LGBTQ+ and allied students, faculty, staff, patients, visitors, allied students, faculty, staff, patients, and visitors on the CU Anschutz Campus and within the Aurora community.
LGBTQ Student Resource Center
The LGBTQ Student Resource Center (SRC) is a tri-institutional office on the Auraria Campus serving the students, faculty and staff of Metropolitan State University of Denver, Community College of Denver and University of Colorado at Denver. The LGBTQ SRC is available to all Auraria students as a resource for exploring issues of sexual orientation and gender identity.
Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ODEI) offers services, resources, and guidance to enhance diversity university-wide and foster a culture of equity and inclusion for the CU Denver Campus. To enhance diversity, the University strives to recognize underrepresented groups in the areas of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, veteran status, and ability status.
Office of Inclusion and Outreach
The Office of Inclusion and Outreach (OIO) provides sustained, comprehensive programs across all educational levels to promote access and increase numbers of underrepresented populations in healthcare, STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and research professions.
Women and Gender Center
The Women & Gender Center (WGC) at CU Denver is committed to advancing issues of gender equity and supporting the gender-focused needs of students, faculty, and staff on the Auraria campus. The mission of the Women and Gender Center is to address gender inequities and foster a campus community that values inclusion, social justice, equity, and respect for everyone regardless of background and experience. We are committed to enacting intersectional feminism in our programming by exploring gender as it overlaps and interacts with the multiple identities that people inhabit across their lifespans. We serve all members of the CU Denver community, regardless of gender identity. Our goal is to support community members in exploring cultural norms and expectations regarding gender, and to help community members develop strategies for expressing their gender in ways that feel authentic and bring them joy.
