Celebrating the Artistic Journey and Impact of Tenzing Rigdol '05
From Nepal to CU Denver to The Met, Tenzing Rigdol’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. Rigdol is renowned for his powerful works that bridge Tibetan culture with contemporary art. His work is now on display at one of the world’s most prestigious art institutions, The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
CU Denver student work is prominently featured along Denver’s 16th Street Mall, courtesy of the 2023-24 cohort of the ColoradoBuildingWorkshop. Supported by the Downtown Denver Partnership, students designed and built four kiosks aimed at helping emerging businesses take their first steps toward brick-and-mortar success. These kiosks serve as functional prototypes and contribute to the revitalization efforts underway on the 16th Street Mall, further energizing this iconic public space.
Colorado Teacher of the Year: Janet Damon MS '10
Congratulations to Janet Damon, a teacher at DELTA High School in Denver Public Schools, who received Colorado’s 2025 Teacher of the Year Award! She also becomes the state’s candidate for the Council of Chief State School Officers’ National Teacher of the Year Award. Damon earned her specialist in education master's degree from the School of Education & Human Development.

Meet Finn O'Sullivan '24, a songwriter who loves creating music and got her start by attending the College of Arts & Media LYNX Camp.
