Dear Colleagues,

I would like once again to convey my sincere gratitude to all who work at CU Denver and have done so much over the past months to make this academic year possible. As a token of our thanks, we are granting our employees an additional paid holiday on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Monday, January 18, 2021). CU Denver faculty and staff members may take Jan. 18 as paid leave.

You may enter this day in MyLeave with earnings code “administrative leave.” Employees from consolidated units serving both campuses should follow the guidance from the campus consistent with their designated holiday schedule in MyLeave or other time system. Questions should be directed to your unit’s Human Resources representative. If you are required to work on January 18, 2021, you may choose an alternate administrative leave day before the end of the fiscal year, with your supervisor’s approval.

This day off is one way we can acknowledge how much we appreciate your perseverance, adaptability, and innovation amid the added stresses of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you for your dedication and for contributing to our collective success.
