01/16/25 |Rocky Lee Baker, PharmD, Associate Professor, is the corresponding author of a research article, "Novel T Cell reactivities to Hybrid Insulin Peptides in Islet Autoantibody-Positive At-Risk Subjects", published in Diabetes.  In this publication, the Baker group demonstrates broad and robust T cell reactivity to hybrid insulin peptides in patients progressing to a higher stage of type 1 diabetes. Thirteen colleagues from our campus are co-authors.

Raul Torres and Kimberly Kremer

01/16/25 |Raul M. Torres, PhD, Professor of Immunology and Microbiology, and Kimberly N. Kremer, Senior Instructor of Immunology and Microbiology, are corresponding authors of an original research article published by Frontiers in Immunology that shows liver sinusoidal endothelial cells regulate the balance between hepatic immunosuppression and immunosurveillance. Ten co-authors are from our campus.

Immunology PhD Students Marina Good (Guthmiller Lab), Mansoor Mohammad (Hsieh Lab), Ana Fairbanks-Mahnke (Clark Lab), and Maureen Hohen Rauhut (Rincon Lab) will be presenting posters at the upcoming STEM Post Day at the Capitol.

In addition, Rachael Kostelecky, Elizabeth Spear, and Gabrielle Vragel, who are studying to get their Microbiology PhD in Linda van Dyk's lab, have been invited to join lawmakers on the floor of the state senate to celebrate their work.

This event is open to the public and attendance is welcome and encouraged.
