The University of Colorado Denver Budget Office is committed to providing the support necessary for our campus community to make informed budgetary decisions and maintain oversight of their departmental budgets. We are dedicated to delivering quality customer service, sustaining a friendly and professional work environment, and continuing to advance communication with the campus community.

The Budget Office responsibilites include:

  • Budget development and implementation for unrestricted and auxiliary funds

The Office of Policy and Fiscal Analysis (OPFA) uses data analysis and modeling to support an efficient allocation of campus resources. The office conducts fiscal analysis of proposed campus academic programs, centers, or institutes. The office also serves as the campus liaison for legislative proposals and identifies the fiscal impact of proposals upon CU and UC Denver.

The goals of the Office of Policy and Fiscal Analysis are to support:

  • Program development with financial analysis of new academic program proposals and research centers
  • A balanced campus budget by modeling and estimating tuition revenue
  • Strategies to respond to a changing federal and state policy environment impacting UC Denver
  • Efforts to efficiently allocate resources and use data analysis to advance informed decision making
